Spinning Wheel Inn

Fantastic night of live music in a hidden venue that was a complete suprise to me. Next time I'm down I will be paying another visit definitely....

We stayed in Paignton at the Mercure Hotel last night, and a couple of doors down was the Spinning Wheel, a fantastic pub with live entertainment. I had a chicken curry, a lovely jacket potato, and garlic bread. Having recently come back from India, the curry was on par with what I had there—absolutely excellent. At 9 p.m., a band came on, and they were fantastic. The bar staff were friendly and efficient, the crowd was great, obviously popular with some local characters which made it even more fun and it’s dog-friendly—even my dog enjoyed it! We’ll definitely return—highly recommended!

Great pub with a nice layout, good selection of drinks and the band they provided ( the scorchers) were absolutely banging. Did not have food at this place. Well done for a great night

While on holiday in Paignton. Always called at the spinning wheel. Loved sitting outside. Lovely pub. Staff were great very helpful friendly. Food was lovely. Good beer. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Recommend the spinning wheel. For food or just drinks. We didn't visit at night. But daytime was a lovely chilled relaxed place. Thank you to all the staff. 👍😊

Great live music here! Beautiful pub with good beer. We never eat here but enjoyed 3 piece band Schofield who were excellent.

Nice pub. Watched the world cup game here and even when it was packed, the place felt nice, had good seating and the bar was able to serve the people without making them wait for ages. Highly recommended

Had a great meal. Staff were friendly. Prices were fair (apart from the steaks, which appear pretty expensive). Sort of a "sports" bar with food. Although, the evening I went they increased the volume of the music far too much for my liking. I'd still definitely go again.
