Glazert Country House Hotel

Stayed here last week for a couple of nights while visiting some friends in Glasgow, and had a wonderful time. My wife and I had our Golden Retriever along on the trip, and the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly to him or to us. The room was exactly what you'd expect from a hotel of this time. It was spacious enough, clean, had a tub in the bathroom, not just a shower, the TV worked fine, there was plenty of hot water, etc. We ate in the restaurant one evening, and honestly wished we were staying longer so we could do so again. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was fantastic, and the pricing was reasonable. We also sampled the breakfast, and it was the best black pudding I've had in some years! The area that the hotel is in is lovely and quite, wonderfully green, and utterly relaxing. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant.

We stayed there four weeks ago with our two dogs and the service was excellent. We were given a lovely room which opened onto the car park which was great for taking the dogs out rather than walk through the hotel. The food was excellent - the best chicken tempura we have ever had and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

What a great welcome we had from Julia who showed us to our room. Her fantastic service continued throughout our stay. She was attentive not only to us but to the rest of the customers who were having dinner and drinks. As we needed to leave early this morning she mad a pack lunch for us to take with us which again was full of goodies. The food we had was delicious. My husband had the haggis tatties and neeps and I had the macaroni cheese and jalapenos. The salad that went with it was fabulous and not a throwaway few bits of lettuce. The bedroom was comfortable and well equipped. Really the customer service is what made this stay so perfect. Thank you

A warm welcome for two muddy cyclists, just 50 meters from the John Muir Way. We found the staff and the room great; nothing was too much trouble. We also enjoyed a tasty meal in the bar and breakfast was good too. This is a lovely hotel in a peaceful setting. Would definitely recommend.

My hubby, father and I had the pleasure of staying in the Glazert Country House Hotel for the bank holiday weekend. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the beds were so comfortable and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. There was lots of choice for breakfast and all food was delicious. The staff and management were so friendly, kind and helpful and the grounds were wonderful to walk around. We would very highly recommend this gem of a place and will definitely be back.

The Glazert hotel is run by an amazing family totally dedicated to their clientele. The service they provided for my mother in laws 90 th birthday from homing a few family members overnight and hosting the party. Nothing was ever too much. The staff were polite and couldn't do enough to help. The food was second to none that we have ever experienced at a buffet thanks to Paul the variety of foods were amazing as helped us pick the best options. We are forever grateful for making Margarets night unforgettable. We highly recommend the Glazert and we will be hosting more parties here in the future.
