Had my wedding reception here. Staff were amazing from start to finish, so attentive and all round excellent service. Great communication before hand to coordinate all the meals. Food was lovely and they even helped to cut and serve the wedding cake. Would highly recommend for events and parties. A special thank you to the North American waitress with blonde hair for her stellar service and for being so friendly and helpful.

Great location. Great pub. Breakfast had a decent variety and cooked breakfast was a good size. Room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Bathroom and Shower likewise. Room and bathroom were also a good size. Room was quiet given we were right on the high street. The welcome shortbread in the room was the only very small negative. It was inedible. Rock hard so suspect staff need to make sure and change it whether guests consume or not! Staff everywhere were all very friendly and helpful from check in to check out and service in between, even producing a life saving safety pin at very short notice! Thanks again. Would thoroughly recommend.

My wife and adorable pooch (Rosie) had a very pleasant roast dinner. It was cool, the staff were very attentive (probs because Rosie is so cute) and the food was delicious. Charlie, the supervisor, made us feel welcome and looked after us. From drink recommendations and a treat or two for Rosie. The apple cake was the tip of the iceberg on a lovely lunch. Thoroughly recommended.

My family and I went for a roast today and it was delicious! We sat out in the garden and had a lovely waitress, Tilly. She was brilliant and made our experience even better! Will definitely be going back.

This is very much our second home whenever we are back home in London and it never fails to deliver. The entire team is fantastic and we are always welcomed back warmly. The rooms are very good, as is the food and drink in the pub. We were treated especially well a few times this latest stay by Freddie in the restaurant and by his colleagues at the bar. See you all back in our local very soon!

I've been visiting D&F for many years, and I always look forward to it. The staff are incredibly friendly and eager to help, making every visit enjoyable. The location is superb, especially the cosy outdoor seating area where I love to relax. Mornings are my favourite—peaceful and perfect for a delicious breakfast. Plus, they adore dogs, and my furry friend knows exactly where the treats are!

Came to have dinner and celebrate my birthday with my family. I got a call before my booking informing us that due to a busy lunch, they ran out of roasts which was OK as there was still stuff from the normal menu. I was very happily surprised when I got there and told that they actually had 4 roasts left for us! The food was gorgeous, and the service was absolutely fantastic. I forgot the chaps name, but it was a young guy, and he was very attentive, helpful, and showed genuine care. As someone who is a floor supervisor at a pub, I can say without a doubt that this chap is a fantastic part of your team and you should all be very proud of him. The place is really nice and well decorated. It was my first time in this pub, and I am happy to say that I will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for such an amazing evening!
