Not a good place to see shows. Because of the structure of the building (and the age of it) there is a lot of pillars limiting the view. If you come for a show you have to be absolutely in front, not even a bit on the side, you would end up watching a damn pillar for the whole show. Also the stage was much too low to see correctly the performers when evolving on the ground. If you cannot be right in front pay extra to be as close to the stage as possible. But even there, pillars are likely to be a pain. And don’t go for the cheaper seats on the side of the stage, much too far to enjoy the show. You need googles. Nice to reuse an old and great building but clearly you cannot do everything in there. It is not a place made for shows. Better to go to theatres like Underbelly Boulevard in soho.
A lovely and accessible venue in a nice area. I didn’t get to use the toilets so can’t speak on the cleanliness but the main auditorium is an excellent size for the sort of events held there. Shame about the pillars sometimes obscuring your view but I genuinely enjoyed the feel of the decor and lighting. I would definitely come again.
I attended a fab tour of Woolwich Works this morning, run by Joe B. The tour covered historical uses of the buildings through to the present. It’s great to put context into the buildings that we can use and enjoy now, and to appreciate the sites history and some of the great people and moments that passed through. Thank you Joe & the other volunteers who make that possible!
I went to the cafe for a planning and strategy session with my friend! I had a lovely lunch, a couple of coffees and a snack. The atmosphere there is relaxing and the staff are nice! We’ll definitely be back again to use the space. And catch the brunch menu!
Went to the Wing Jam food festival I had a great time there's a large indoor and outdoor space. Great venue in my opinion.
