I was taken to this members only venue as a guest by an old friend I hadn't seen for many years. The views across to the Purbecks and up towards the Wareham channel were really lovely. We sat on a picnic table on the decking overlooking the water. The table service was excellent, as was the coffee! It was great to catch up with my old mate in such a lovely settting!
Lake Yard is absolutely lovely for dinner! A great location looking over the yard and the harbour with great food and friendly service! Great drinks selection here and awesome food! Really great restaurant for a special meal!
Really funky place with cheerful staff and great coffee
Never even got to eat, the staff were rude and lied to us (we were non members). We were happy to pay the extra 20% for non members, but we were originally told there were tables available when they thought we were members, as soon as they found out we weren’t, we were lied to and told that the tables were now reserved. After questioning this, the reservations miraculously disappeared and we were "allowed" to stay. But we left after the rudeness we experienced. Avoid.

Wonderful place, sitting in the covered outdoor area overlooking the harbour. Service is relaxed and friendly. It's certainly not "Fast Food", but then in this lovely relaxed environment, who cares! Some lovely fish dishes on the menu and for three of us having a main and dessert with a bottle of wine and a pint of Doom Bar the bill just broke the £100 barrier. Food was excellent and we were lucky, the sun shone and we had a lovely lunch. Bare in mind that prices of each dish is cheaper by a pound or two if you are a member of the club.
