Customer Reviews
Spinnaker Tower has a rating of 4.6 out of 5 based on over 10833 reviews on Google
We bought tickets online (£12 for an adult, £10 for a child), which I thought was a really reasonable entrance fee for the Spinnaker Tower. The views across Portsmouth are exceptional, and there are 3 different viewing points to check out. We also grabbed a cream tea and a Diet Coke for £22. Again, we didn't mind this price because you're mainly paying for the stunning views and location. It was a standard cream tea using good branded food products, so we were happy to pay a little extra. Two pink proseccos came to £16. Check out my pictures for the views! Best of all, there was no time constraint once you're up there, unlike some tourist spots that rush you out. Customer service was brilliant from every single staff member—easily 10/10. Would highly recommend!
This was a great place. You can strain your eyes to see from Brighton to Southampton and get an amazing view of the Solent, Portsmouth Harbour and everything around. The glass is quite green so pictures might need adjusting. The 'open air' deck at the top isn't as good because the glass slants too much to photograph through but I'd certainly go again. It's also a day ticket so you can go up more than once.
Great views and history of Portsmouth, the Royal Navy, and Queen Victoria's Osbourne House on Isle is Wight. Additional stairs to the open air top are worth it. Option to add on High Tea at Clouds or grab a Cake and Tea treat on the ground level.
Easy to book . Warm welcome. Lift being singular can take a while viewing platforms need better air con , but stunning views. Cream Tea ok had better had worse mind ! . Stairs up to 2nd platform manageable even for an oldie . Again breathtaking views . Well worth a visit with activities for kids . Poor gift shop but did buy the obligatory fridge magnet. In all one of Portsmouths highlights.
If you're looking for a day out with genuinely spectacular views, Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth delivers in every way. Getting In We booked online in advance £12 for an adult and £10 for a child which felt like a really reasonable entrance fee given what's on offer. One of the best perks: the ticket is valid for the whole day, so you can enjoy the view in daylight and then come back to catch the sunset or night-time skyline on the same ticket. The Views This is Hampshire's unique viewing tower, and on a clear day you can see up to 23 miles in every direction. From above you can pick out the Historic Dockyard, Old Portsmouth, Gosport, and Gunwharf Quays, and on certain days you might even catch a Royal Navy ship coming home from or heading out on deployment. Watching the ferries and cargo ships moving in and out of the bay is oddly mesmerising; our advice is don't rush through, just take your time and soak it in. There are three distinct viewing points to explore: The Glass Floor (100m) — walk out over the glass for a proper "is this a good idea" moment Cloud Cafe (105m) — grab a drink with a view; they also do afternoon teas, though these need to be booked in advance Sky Garden (110m) — an open-air space at the top to relax and take it all in Unlike a lot of tourist attractions, there's no time limit once you're up there — you can stay as long as you like rather than being hurried along. Food & Drink It used good quality, branded products, so while it's a touch pricier than you'd pay elsewhere, you're really paying for the setting as much as the food, and it felt fair for what it was. The Skybar is a real highlight — great drinks in a great setting. There's also a cafe downstairs, which is a nice bonus if you want something more low-key. Service Every single member of staff we encountered was brilliant — friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout. Easily a 10/10 on customer service. Spinnaker Tower is well worth the visit. Between the views, the all-day ticket, the lack of time pressure, and the excellent staff, it's an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Portsmouth. Take your time, watch the ships, and enjoy the ride up.
