Hollins Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf

Just arrived home after a 2 night stay with my family. We enjoyed the stay and the hotel was lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It could have done with being a bit warmer ,especially in reception. There were 10 of us and we did find the service in the restaurant on the slow side, but the food itself was good. Saying that, I was disappointed with the pizza my daughter got on the 2nd night ,it was burnt and should never have been sent out from the kitchen like that, but we had waited so long for it my daughter ate the bits she could eat. It has not put us off and we would return.

I booked a one-night stay here for a local business meeting, and it proved to be an excellent choice for a corporate stopover. The hotel itself is an amazing, historic building set in beautiful grounds. The room was very comfortable, featuring a great layout and a good selection of in-room facilities that made it easy to get some work done. The staff across the hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. A massive bonus of staying here is the complimentary use of the leisure center. The swimming pool, sauna, and steam room are amazing facilities and the perfect way to unwind after a day of meetings. For those with a bit more time, the venue also boasts a fantastic 18-hole championship golf course and a driving range on-site. The food options at the hotel looked excellent, and the pricing across the board is very reasonable, I look forward to trying the food next time. I would highly recommend this venue for both business and leisure stays.

Lovely building set in beautiful grounds, the room was great... clean and spacious. Our stay on 12th July was spoilt by the welcome we received from reception lady which was basically... we were not greeted with a hello... Just said rooms are not ready ,go to the bar on 2nd floor and have a drink,we didnt expect our toom to be ready 20 mins earlybut were checking just in case it was .Returned to reception at 3, 3 staff on reception but only the original staff member was serving in spite of large queue. Eventually at about 3.15 another lady finally apologised for delay and checked us in!! Then to 2nd floor bar/restaurant to ask for take away sandwiches, I have a broken foot ,was on crutches but the bar guy seemed to think i would be able to carry 2 plates to my room 😱,said he couldn't help me. I was saved by a wonderful girl who carried my food for me to my room. She saved this hotel from a worse review!! The breakfast staff were all lovely and the breakfast was amazing 👏. I said good morning to a male staff member on my way out and got completely blanked while he instead spoke to a member of staff !! So rude !!
