Went for Sunday lunch with family. Food was delicious, we went for the two meat option. Veggies cooked to perfection and gravy to die for. We appreciate the fact that they bring extra gravy to the table. Great service Donna I apologise for the pic of the half eaten meal (couldn’t wait to tuck in) We will definitely be returning.

Great old school pub in the centre of Sunderland. Excellent selection of cask ales available.

Came up from Brighton last Saturday for the football, saw this pub online and reserved a table for lunch and drinks. Food was excellent as was the service. Drinks were great value. Friendly atmosphere, Sunderland fans very welcoming. Hopefully come back next season. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely Sunday lunch . It was Our first time trying this pub and The Dinner was fantastic and we will definitely be back . Also every staff member was brilliant and attentive and a credit to the the place

Called for food & drink before going to a show at The Fire Station next door. Great menu, not expensive & quality food. Drinks not over-priced. Friendly & helpful bar staff. Got a little noisy when away fans began chanting prior to going to match at Stadium of Light. No trouble though & would definitely recommend a visit.

The Sunday roasts at the Peacock are undoubtedly the best in Sunderland . Consistently high quality meat ( the beef is exceptional and melts in your mouth) , perfectly cooked veggies and the most delicious gravy I have ever tasted. Portions are generous and service is always quick and staff lovely.
