Alfriston War Memorial Hall

The event which we ran at Alfriston War Memorial Hall went SO smoothly. All the prior arrangements were sorted out quickly and easily by Wendy and Gerry who take care of everything with the minimum of fuss. On the day, we had a full house, 120 people, and things couldn't have gone smoother. Highly recommend this lovely hall, great facilities, great management.

We were so lucky to have Alfriston War Memorial Hall as our wedding venue. It's in a stunning location and the hall is beautiful already so didn't need tons of work to decorate. Gerry and Wendy are really helpful and hosted us a few times so we could plan our day as well as being around to support on the weekend. You get access to the hall from Friday afternoon to Sunday midday. We managed to seat 116 people for a ceremony and dinner but if doing a DIY wedding, I'd recommend hiring some people to help change the room around. We loved that we had the flexibility to choose the way our wedding day happened unlike other venues, and we had a brilliant caterer based on the patio and a live band in the evening. There ae a few things to work around like very limited parking, but it was workable and lots of people stayed in the village to make the most of being in a beautiful place. It was an incredible venue but would recommend booking early as they only host a certain number of weddings a year.

Super village, plenty of parking, cafe's and restaurants and pubs as well as a few good shops.

Lovely little hall , has everything you need for a venue, clean and well looked after. Wendy proudly shows you round and can offer advice of extras that you may need to make your party go with a swing. Lawn and patio are available to use too.

Lovely, stunning scenery around the hall creating gorgeous views. The hall itself is really nice too, very spacious with lovely wooden beams.

Fabulous venue. A hidden gem. The perfect idyllic wedding venue.
