The Barrel

We had a fantastic Xmas meal here! The food was incredible and we’ll look forward to returning. It was great value for money too. I’ll seriously think about taking my staff there to eat next Xmas!

We had our football presentation night at The Barrel Pub last night and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The function room was beautifully decorated, really spacious, clean, and perfect for our event. The buffet food was excellent, fresh, tasty, and there was plenty for everyone. The customer service was outstanding and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They catered to all of our needs and made sure the whole evening ran smoothly. Highly recommend The Barrel Pub for any special occasion or function. We all had an amazing night and will definitely be back!

I have not been in years, more fool me. The Barrel was amazing. Although busy, Kathleen, Jessica and other staff flawlessly attended to all our needs. Beautiful place for families, outside and inside stunning and appeals to groups, couples and families. Best pub and restaurant around . Thank you for an amazing day 💗

Came for an 80th birthday and 60th wedding anniversary and the food was fantastic. They offer a lot of gluten free food as well. We had the function room and the staff decorated the room for us with the balloons and banners we provided. This was a great help and really appreciated. The staff were very helpful and polite. Can't recommend The Barrel enough.

‘The Barrel’ What a little hidden gem. Had dinner twice this weekend. The first meal on the Saturday being sausage, mash with an onion gravy and the second on the Sunday where we had preordered the butchers block meat sharing platter. Both meals were superb, well seasoned with great flavour The elegant manner in which the platter was served and carved at the table was mouth watering. The service staff are friendly and accommodating and the pricing is excellent value for money. The chef also made a personal appearance at our table on both occasion. I can’t say enough good things about this up and coming venue

Our party of 18 visited The Barrel for Christmas Day. Everything was absolutely perfect: food, service, staff and atmosphere. It was the first time everyone in our party had been out for Xmas dinner and it couldn't have been better. The way the kitchen, bar & serving staff managed to serve a full pub (with a smile) in one sitting was absolutely amazing and we were able to stay for drinks as long as we wanted after the meal.

Far exceeded expectations, staff pleasant and helpful, owner was really friendly and accommodating and the food was exceptional. Went above and beyond. Will definitely go again
