The Old Rectory Handsworth

We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our daughter’s baptism. The building inside is beautiful, the grounds outside are lovely (unfortunately our weather wasn’t outside weather but the inside space was more than big enough). The swags looked beautiful lit up on the stage and ceiling. The staff were incredible, so friendly and attentive and happy to help with any requests. The room layout was great and they did little things to help make it look nicer such as swapping our crisp box for a basket without us even asking. All the food was eaten, the scones were delicious! The food was presented beautifully. Guests loved there was a bar on site and we could play music via the speakers. They cut the cake for us and saved us some to take home to make sure we got some, a lovely touch as know many end up not getting any of their own wedding cake etc. There is parking available, just right for our guest quantity and great it is short walking distance from the church for elderly guests. The only downside I have is regret that we didn’t use this venue for our wedding as it would have been perfect! Communication before and after the event was incredible with friendly and fast responses, clear expectations and honesty. Thank you so much I hope to have an event with you again soon. We had our wedding here last month and I can’t fault it at all! All of the staff went above and beyond - special shoutouts to Alison & Tom who were absolutely brilliant in the lead up and on the day. Many of our guests commented on how nice the food was, which we would absolutely agree! We booked the pearl package so were there from the ceremony through to the evening. The getting ready space is a really lovely room to be in, and didn’t feel crowded (even with the bride, 3 bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and makeup/hair stylists!). We met most of our vendors through their open days, who were also really good. Alison & Tom were accommodating to all guests, including my 91 year old Grandad, ensuring he was comfortable and included. We were so happy with how the day went, and we couldn’t have imagined having it anywhere else. Thank you The Old Rectory!

Been a best man at my mates wedding today at the old rectory.. must say been very impressed with the venue.. the day went brilliantly, and the staff were very organised and nothing was to much trouble, I need to give a special mention Chantelle, who was amazing on the day! Great day had by all..

We got married here 22nd June 2024! The staff are amazing they went above and beyond the host Tom made our day absolutely perfect!!! The food was amazing and the grounds for photos are amazing!! Thankyou so much all of you for making our day so special! ❤️

Attended today for a 60th Anniversary Party. From booking with Alison the coordinator, everything has been tip top! The main hall is beautiful, the venue throughout is very clean and well maintained and the staff, Tom and Ashley were incredible. We had the afternoon tea and a kids menu and all the food was delicious, beautifully presented and plentiful. Would definitely recommend.
